Starting Point Groups Your life is a story. It began the moment you drew your first breath. And the plot has been building ever since, adding new dimensions with each passing day. Your story is told through the pages and chapters of your life. As each scene unfolds, it reveals the meaning of the overall story-line.
Like any story, there are moments of clarity and moments of uncertainty. From time to time, you may find yourself struggling to remember where you were headed, and why. There are even occasions when you feel like you've lost your place in your own story. You know it's supposed to make sense somehow, but the chapters don't quite fit together.
And then one day, you discover...THAT YOUR STORY IS PART OF AN EVEN BIGGER STORY. Suddenly, the events of your life begin to fall into place. And with a new understanding of your past, you face the future as if starting at the beginning all over again. THIS IS YOUR "STARTING POINT".
Where did it begin for you? Maybe you would describe this as more of a "turning point" than a starting point. As you connect with God, the course of your life seems to be moving in a new direction. Or, if you're getting back to the spiritual roots of your childhood, you might find the term "returning point" more accurate. By joining a "Starting Point" group, you hope to connect with others and reconnect with your faith. Or, perhaps you've been here before, and "restarting point" is the best description. After all, no on out grows the need to explore life's journey from a new perspective. Wherever you may find yourself, you are in the right place because, in a typical "Starting Point" group, you are likely to be surrounded by all of the above. Together, we will trace God's footsteps through the universe and examine his fingerprints in your life.
Whatever your life situation, this is indeed a starting point. Perhaps your drawn by something you can feel but can't quite describe. Or maybe you have a gnawing question about God you hope to get answered. Perhaps you just want to join others on the journey. Whatever the reason, this could be an important milestone as you set out to explore your faith and find your place in the story.
